It was announced during the Golden Globes last week that actor George Clooney was organizing a major Hope for Haiti Telethon for Friday, January 22nd. The telethon is expected to be cooperatively broadcast across most major TV and cable networks.
As conditions worsen in the Earthquake-ravaged Haiti, many celebs have stepped in to donate or to use their star status to carry the message of “hope” for Haiti.
The two-hour Hope for Haiti Telethon will have Clooney anchoring the telethon from Los Angeles, Wyclef Jean in New York City and CNN’s Anderson Cooper will report live from Haiti.
Music artists Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and Taylor Swift are among those already committed to perform at the telethon event.
